Youth Jazz Fellows are also awarded leadership opportunities as clinicians, and bandleaders, and inherently also serve as generational peer mentors among their seasonal cohorts thus positively affecting the greater Kansas City music community at large.

Youth Jazz Fellows represent our best next-generation jazz artists who are emerging from all of the work each of us is doing in the greater Kansas City regional music community.
